10.20.08 Groundwork being laid for Darkstar Release
Director/Producer J. Allen Williams has just returned from a week in Los
Angeles after teaming up with Lead Actor Clive Robertson and meeting with
potential partners to help get Darkstar on store shelves. Though proposals
are in their infancy and Jeff will not release any names of potential
publishing partners at this time, he did say that every meeting was
positive, and that the executives were all very smart, professional, and
gracious with their time in absorbing the product and offering some great
feedback. Topics discussed were media formats, advertising and marketing
strategies, music licensing, product placement opportunities, and even a
few creative suggestions for the post production stages. Parallax Studio's
job of developing the project is nearing completion, and will likely form a
new corporation and partnership with a group yet to be named in Los Angeles
that will oversee the final transition from Darkstar as an Intellectual
Property to a final product that you can purchase. Parallax has requested
proposals stemming from these meetings, and hopes to move forward with a
distribution/publishing plan very soon. Meanwhile, the final stages of
actual post production on Darkstar continue, and approach closure. Stay
tuned.
